what is it

During our short-format treks, students are inspired through direct exposure to social entrepreneurship, impact investing, corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability and cultural immersion. They also partake in a short consulting engagement or social innovation workshop with local nonprofits or social enterprises.

PROGRAM STAGES

The program’s challenge and consulting project are presented before the start of the program. During this pre-program phase, teams are built, team mentors are assigned, and additional context is provided to the participants

Once students reach the host country, participants will get the opportunity to experience project-based learning as well as visit local historical sites to further add to the local context

During the program, successive learning modules such as Design Thinking and Theory|U Methodologies allow students to develop desirable, feasible, and viable solutions and recommendations to the challenge.

At the end of the program, the teams will present their final recommendations to the social organization. They will also reflect on their experience and how to apply their newly developed skills and knowledge in their academic and professional lives.
